Dr Sajid elected as a president of Professor association punjab university dated March 10, 2016. 

Punjab University Vice Chancellor has appointed Professor Dr. Sajid Rashid Ahmed as Director of Centre for Geographical Information System (GIS ) & Remote sensing.

Prof. Dr. Sajid Rashid Ahmed is foreign qualified Ph. D holder, has been spent last ten years in Canada. He was one of the leading professors having vast experience of Geographical Information System (GIS) & Remote Sensing. While talking to the “Education Times” Dr. Sajid said that it was very advance and latest technology which was not so far been introduced in Pakistan. The latest techniques will help in producing skilled and trained geologists as an asset of the nation.

Dr. Sajid specialized in Geographic Information System (GIS) and Remote Sensing, serving at Institute of Geology, University of the Punjab where he was supervising a complete batch of M.Phil, Ph.D program. As many as 30 research scholars are currently working under his supervision in Geographical Information System (GIS) and Remote sensing.
