Kaniska, also spelled Kanishka, Chinese Chia-ni-se-chia (flourished 1st century ce), greatest king of the Kushan dynasty that ruled over the northern part of the Indian subcontinent, Afghanistan, and possibly areas of Central Asia north of the Kashmir region. He is, however, chiefly remembered as a great patron of Buddhism. Through inheritance and conquest, Kaniska’s kingdom covered an area extending from Bukhara (now in Uzbekistan) in the west to Patna in the Ganges (Ganga) River valley in the east and from the Pamirs (now in Tajikistan) in the north to central India in the south. His capital probably was Purusapura (Peshawar, now in Pakistan). He may have crossed the Pamirs and subjugated the kings of the city-states of Khotan (Hotan), Kashgar, and Yarkand (now in the Xinjiang region of China), who had previously been tributaries of the Han emperors of China. Nawab Sir  Fazal Ali Khan, also kn ow n as Sir Sayed Punjab, laid the foundation of Zamindar College in 1937.His services in the fields of politics, education and social welfare are well acknowledged. Bio Nawab Sir Fazal Ali Khan became the first Chairman of the District Board of Gujrat in 1928 and then member of the Legislative Assembly of Punjab. He was a graduate from Ali Garh University, India. Before the partition of the Indian sub-continent, Nawab Sir Fazal Ali founded and headed a Non Government Organization named Zamindar Education Association in 1914. Zamindar High School for boys was established in 1927 under the auspices of Zamindar Education Association. In 1937 the association laid the foundation of Zamindar College that to date has produced thousands of graduates including renowned personalities of the region in the fields of education, literature, politics and civil services.

Aftab Ahmad Khan Sherpao (Pashto: أحمد أفتاب خان شرباو‎; Urdu: آفتاب احمد خان شیر پائو ‎) (born 20 August 1944)is the head of Qaumi Watan Party, and was the 35th Federal Interior Minister of Pakistan. Prior to this assignment he was working as the Federal Minister for Water and Power (WAPDA), Minister for Kashmir Affairs and Northern Areas and States & Frontier Regions (KANA & SAFRON) and Minister for Interprovincial Coordination. Sherpao has also served as the 14th and 18th Chief Minister of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province of Pakistan.
