Nawabzada Haider Mehdi son of Nawabzada Zafar Mehdi was born on August 24, 1984 at Gujrat. He graduated in 2006 from Burnel University, London, UK. He has also obtained Diploma in Business Studies and ABE (I) from City of London College, UK and Diploma in Business Administration from Holborn College, London. He has visited UK, UAE, Dubai, Malaysia, Maldives and Sri Lanka. An agriculturist, who has been elected as Member, Provincial Assembly of the Punjab in general elections 2013 and is functioning as Parliamentary Secretary for Management & Professional Development. He belongs to a prominent and renowned political family. His great-grandfather, Nawab Sir Fazal Ali Khan, remained Member of Punjab Legislative Assembly during 1937-42; his grandfather, Nawabzada Mehdi Ali served as Member of Punjab Legislative Assembly during 1951-55; his father remained Member of National Assembly during 1977; real brother of his grandfather, Nawabzada Asghar Ali, served as Member of Punjab Legislative Assembly during 1942-47 and 1951-55; Member of West Punjab Legislative Assembly during 1947-49 and Member of Provincial Assembly of West Pakistan during 1965-69; his uncle, Nawabzada Mazhar Ali was Member of Punjab Assembly during 1977, 1993-96 and as Member of National Assembly during 1985-88 and is a sitting MNA. His another uncle, Nawabzada Muzafar Ali was Member of Punjab Assembly during 1985-88; and his uncle, Nawabzada Ghazanfar Ali Gul remained Member of Punjab Assembly during 1988-90; Member of National Assembly during 1993-96; and Advisor to Prime Minister during 2010-11.

Fazal Elahi Chaudhry Former President of Pakistan

born on January 1, 1904 in an influential  Gujjar family in Marala village, near the city of  Kharian , Gujrat District  in  Punjab Province . After receiving his education from there, Chaudhry joined the prestigious  Aligarh Muslim University  in 1920, receiving his  LLB  in  Civil law  in 1924. Thereafter, Chaudhry returned to  Punjab  and attended the Punjab University 's post-graduate school in law and political science.
