Professor Dr. Muhammad Sarwar

New Worthy Vice Chancellor of Gomal University Dr. Muhammad Sarwar was a Professor in Institute of Animal Nutrition and Feed Technology, University of Agriculture, Faisalabad. Based on his brilliant career and marvelous achievements, not only HEC awarded him titles of HEC Distinguished National Professor, Best University Teacher Award but The Ohio State University (OSU), Columbus, USA, also awarded him title of OSU Distinguished Alumnus-2014.
Dr. Sarwar did his BSc (Hons) Animal Husbandry in 1980 and MSc (Hons) Animal Nutrition in 1984 from University of Agriculture, Faisalabad. He earned his PhD in 1992 from The Ohio State University, Columbus, Ohio, USA.
He worked as Dean (2011-2014), Faculty of Animal Husbandry, Founder Director (2004-2010), Institute of Animal Nutrition and Feed Technology, Chairman Sports Board (2007-2011), and Project Officer Cattle Feed Project from 2001-2003, University of Agriculture Faisalabad. He worked as SMS and DDO in 10 District-Project (1992-1993) funded by Asian Development Bank and also worked as In-charge Agriculture Sector (1981-82 & 1985-1987) in Livestock and Dairy Development Department, Government of Punjab, Lahore.
Dr. Sarwar’s work received several prestigious national and international awards, such as; OSU Distinguished Alumnus-2014 from The Ohio State University. Columbus, Ohio, USA, Excellence Award-2014 from Pakistan Veterinary and Medical Council, Islamabad, Tamgha-e-Imtiaz-2007 from President of Pakistan, Scientist of the Year Award-2006 in Agriculture, Gold Medal-2006, from Pakistan Academy of Sciences, Islamabad, Honorary Scientist-2005 from Rural Development Administration, Government of the Republic of Korea; Best University Teacher Award-2004 from higher education commission, Islamabad, repeat recipient of Research Productivity Award from Pakistan Council for Science and Technology, Islamabad, and several others.
He executed 12 research projects and supervised 14 PhD and 30 MSc (Hons) students as a major supervisor. He has more than 380 publications including 6 books at his credit and is member, Biographic Sketch Committee, Asian Australasian Journal Animal Science (AJAS), South Korea,member Editorial Board, AJAS, South Korea, member, International Journal of Agriculture and Biology, member, Pakistan Veterinary and Medical Council, Islamabad and a reviewer of more than 12 foreign/ national journals. Fazal Elahi Chaudhry Former President of Pakistan

born on January 1, 1904 in an influential  Gujjar family in Marala village, near the city of  Kharian , Gujrat District  in  Punjab Province . After receiving his education from there, Chaudhry joined the prestigious  Aligarh Muslim University  in 1920, receiving his  LLB  in  Civil law  in 1924. Thereafter, Chaudhry returned to  Punjab  and attended the Punjab University 's post-graduate school in law and political science.
